Anne (Petrey) Webb

Anne Webb, age 91, of Gainesville GA went home to be with Jesus on Friday, June 5, 2026. She was born on August 12, 1934, to the late Louise Petrey and Cameron Petrey.

Anne was married to Doyle Webb for 71 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Anne leaves behind a legacy of faith and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband, five children, Keith (Faith) Webb, Becky (David) Smith, Lori (Joe) Stapleton, Elena (Richie) Lewis, and Christy (Eric) Rassel; grandchildren Thorn, Reese and Briggham Winkler, Brandon and Watson Lewis, Elise (Lewis) Free, Erin, Olivia and Megan Rassel as well as 13 great grandchildren.

Anne is preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Webb and sister Jane Barton. She is survived by her brother Roy Petrey of Thomasville, GA.

Anne worked hard, and everything she did, she did well. One of Anne’s passions was teaching reading at Gainesville Jr. College. She was an active member of Woodlawn and Pine Crest churches where she sang in the choir directed by her husband. Anne enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, time with her family, and entertaining guests.  She was a wonderful hostess making sure everyone felt loved and special.

A memorial service will be held Saturday June 13, 2026 at 1:00pm at Hillside Funeral Home, 1190 McEver Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 with interment to follow. The family will receive friends in the chapel beginning at 11:00am until the hour of service. Those wishing to leave condolences may do so at www.hillsidechapelfuneralhome.com.
