Eugene "Geno" Diaz

 Eugene Diaz, born September 21, 1934 in Caguas, Puerto Rico.  

Eugene tired of the callout “Hi Gene” always the fixer, he began going by the name Geno. Geno Diaz resided in Gainesville, GA on Lake Lanier.  He passed away on September, 14, 2024 on his late wife, Hildy Diaz's birthday.

Geno was born to a Spanish father and an Italian mother. He had three siblings who held a special place in his heart. After his father’s death the family moved to New York where he attended high school and later served in the U.S. Military. Soon after he married Hildy Diaz, his loving wife. Geno earned a masters degree in Engineering and worked for Pan Am, NASA, NATO and the Pentagon. He was a loving father to his three children Yvonne Young, Diana Diaz & Mark Diaz. Geno & Hildy loved to travel and were loved by all who shared a meal & drink with them! Opa was a family man and had 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. We know Geno & Hildy are dancing in Heaven together again.  

A memorial service will be held at Hillside Chapel on McEver Rd, Gainsville, GA on Saturday, September 21 at 2:00PM.
