Joanne Schwartz

Joanne Elaine "Faust" Schwartz 77, of Gainesville passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

Joanne was born on September 30, 1943 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania to the late John Faust and Ellen Faust of Nazareth, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Nazareth High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from the Shippensburg College. She continued her education and earned a Master's Degree from Elmira College.She married Edward Schwartz in 1965, and they lived in Horseheads, New York. She was a teacher at Horsehead High for 32 years. Serving as head of the business department for 21 years. She was also involved in the Future Secretary Club. In her free time, she enjoyed playing golf, gardening, she loved to travel and took 27 cruise trips. Always looking forward to vacationing with family and friends.

Mrs. Schwart is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellen Faust, both of Nazareth, Pennsylvania; brothers, Charles Faust, John Faust; sisters, Betty Brewer, Sarah Gordon.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Schwartz; son Travis Schwartz (Andrea); daughter, Lisa E. (Schwartz) Sundstrom (Eric); brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Nan Faust; grandchildren; Tucker Schwartz and Riley Schwartz.

Joanne’s life will be celebrated at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home, 1190 McEver Rd, Gainesville, Ga. 30504 Saturday, October 9th with visitation at 2:00 PM and service at 3:00 PM.
