Jose De Jesus Rivas Mendez, 58, of Oakwood, GA, passed away on September 29, 2023. Jose was born in León Guanajuato in 1964 to Jose De Jesus Rivas Nava and Maria Cecilia Mendez, many who know Jose knows the generous and kindhearted person he was. Don Rivas was a loved me member of the community who would unselfishly help others when in need regardless of the situation.

He is survived by his daughters Maria Cecilia Martinez, Laura Trujillo, and son Jose Ramon Rivas. He left behind many broken hearts and many sad faces. He was a devoted father and grandfather to 18 grandchildren. Don Rivas was the world's best father, grandfather, and father-in-law. Words will never be able to describe Mr. Rivas but his memory will continue to live on through his family.
