Kenneth Lee Parson

Kenneth Lee Parson, Sr., age 76, of Gillsville, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He was born in 1950, to the late Hoyt and Ruth Parson. Kenneth was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the Phi Delta #148 F & AM Masonic Lodge in Homer, GA. Kenneth served as a 6 times Past Master and was a Mason for 54 years. He also was a member of the Phi Delta #542 of the Easternstar for 53 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Luther and Edith Campbell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years,  Betty Ann Parson; children, Beverly Ann Wood (Mike), Rebecca Ann Cantrell (Larry), Lee Parson (Tonya), and Lane Ferguson (Naomi); 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; siblings; Carolyn Standridge, Willene Boyle (Mike), Bradley Parson (Karen), Larry Stewart (Paula), Brenda Whitfield (Billy), Charles Campbell (Theresa), Libby Tanner (Gary), Randall Campbell (Renay), and Cathy Holleger (George); a host of nieces and nephews; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. at Silver Shoals Baptist Church in Banks County with Rev. Kenneth Barrett, Rev. Robbie Campbell, Christian Parson, and Rev. Trent Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the family home, 441 Hickory Flat Road, Gillsville, GA  30543, on Friday from 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hillside Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Services to help offset the funeral expenses.
