Laura Davis Obituary

Laura May Davis, of Gainesville, Georgia. Gained her wings December 5th, 2021.

Laura was born in Baldwin Park, California on June 15th, 1970. She graduated from North Hall high school. She later went back to school to receive her certificate in cosmetology, and associates in accounting. Laura was in a committed relationship and future talks with Christopher Fain. Laura was a very outgoing and compassionate woman; she was involved in so many different activities and organizations.

From her softball league to raising kids, not only hers but all the kids that came to call her mom. She may not have always been able to be at every grandchild’s birthday or special events, but she always made sure to try her hardest to spend time with everyone she could. This woman gave so much of herself to everyone else with out ever arguing about time for herself. Over the course of 31 years, she raised two amazing daughters, that have blossomed eight grandkids. These kids were the light of her life, and everyone can agree that her kids and grandkids always came first. The lives this woman has touched and helped show how much she cared for her friends and family, she was not perfect and had her ups and downs as we all know but she never stopped trying to better herself and those around her. She was looking forward to so much in her future and fought so hard to make her dreams come true, but life is always unpredictable, we can only enjoy the time we all had with her and live the lives that she helped make better.

Laura’s memory is survived by her oldest daughter Sheena Dawn Shumake, and her youngest Victoria Sha Atha and Stepson Christopher Fain Jr. The grandchildren are Kiley Dawn Parks, Alexis Atha, Bentley Atha, Ella May Melhorn, Kaylee Sha Howell, Lyla Rae Morgan, Raylan James Shumake, Crew Fain. The Parents Wanda Stanford and Stepfather Michael Stanford, Father Milan Robb. Her Sister Cathy Clements. Her Nephew Andrew Williams and her Niece Kala Jones.
