Louise Puckett Fletcher, 93, died in Gainesville, Georgia on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Louise was born on December 3, 1926 to Samuel Freeman Puckett and Madge White Puckett in Emerson, Georgia. She grew up in Emerson and after high school graduation moved to Atlanta, where she worked for Dunn and Bradstreet. While in Atlanta she met her husband of 54 years, Jack Fletcher. Jack and Louise lived in the Atlanta area after they married, and then moved to Decatur, Georgia. She and Jack built a house in Stone Mountain and later moved to Lawrenceville.
She had a long career and worked for Scottdale Mills, Dekalb County Board of Education, and Dekalb County Board of Health. She also ran an antique lamp and clock business with her husband, Jack.
She was a long time member of Columbia Drive Baptist Church in Decatur, and also loved her church, First Baptist of Lawrenceville. Louise was a creative person, always sewing, gardening, and doing anything creative.
Louise is survived by her daughters Cindy Fletcher Manning and husband, Thomas of Garland, TX; Nancy Fletcher McCall and husband, Russell of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Ellen Manning Davis, husband, Tim; Emily Manning Hall, husband, Andrew, and four great grandchildren, Grant, Heath, Madelyn and Vivienne.
