Melvin Immanuel Lothridge III, lovingly known as Trace, passed away on December 9 th , 2025, at 3:27 pm. Trace was known for his kindness, bright sense of humor, intelligence, patience, and the deep love he had for everyone in his life. He worked as a Shift Manager at RaceTrac, where his dedication and leadership were well respected.
Trace’s life was marked by transformation; he became healthier, happier, and wiser, thanks to his commitment to be the best version of himself for his loved ones. Trace made sure everyone he cared for knew it and knew he was always there to support them.
Trace is preceded by his grandmother Rebecca “Grandma Becky” Arnett, grandfather Robert “Grandpa Hunter” Arnett, grandfather Melvin “Slingshot” Lothridge Sr., and his dad Melvin “Sonny” Lothridge Jr. He is survived by his sons, TJ and Trever Lothridge, his daughters, Gretchen Lothridge and Bella Baca, and his siblings, Jessica Hill and Robbie and Josh Garvin. He also leaves behind his stepdaughters, Hannah and Lily Gibson, as well as his Fiancée, Sonya Henson, along with other family and friends.
Trace will be remembered as a good man who brought laughter and joy to those around him. He was an incredible light to the world who will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Cherokee Bluffs Park, 5867 Blackjack Road, Flowery Branch, Ga, 30542, from 2-9 pm.
