Michael Lewis "Mike" Glass, age 67, entered peacefully into eternal rest on May 11, 2026 in Hall County, Georgia. Born on July 31, 1958 in Fulton County, Georgia, to the late Lewis Buiron Glass and Mary Ruth Carlile. Mike was a man who embraced life with a passion and zest that was infectious to all who knew him.
Mike was a skilled handyman. He had a knack for fixing anything that was broken, a trait that extended beyond objects to people. He offered his services to those in need, always ready to lend a hand. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies which included fishing, camping, and most importantly, spending quality time with family. He was not just a man who lived his life, he was a man who filled his life with living.
He is preceded in death by his father Lewis Buiron Glass, mother Mary Ruth Carlile, brothers Robert Eugen Glass, James Anthony Hansard, and Doug Glass, sister Sue Glass, and father-in-law Ricky Don McGuire. Their memories remain a beacon of love for the family, guiding them in their journey of life.
Mike leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his wife Patricia Glass, Brother and sister-in-law Billy Williams Edger Glass & Georgeaan Bowen, Sons:
James Michael Glass, Joshua Scott Glass and daughter-in-law Kay Leigh Glass, Daughters: Amy Michelle Noyola and son-in-law Felix Cruz Noyola, Tammy Marie Glass and daughter-in-law Nancy Fountain, Lisa Nicole Grubb and son-in-law Paul Grubb. His mother-in-law, Linda Sue McGuire, also survives him, along with his Stepchildren, Christina Lynn Brown, Heather Nicole Matts and stepson-in-law James Matts III, George Daniel Brown Jr. Nieces: Jess Garrett, Shauna Hansard Cardona and spouse Christopher Garrentt, April Marie Cruz. As well as his 23 grandchildren, numerous cousins, and friends each of whom he cherished deeply.
Mike's life will be honored with a simple cremation and a celebration of life to be held at a later date. The family thanks everyone for their love, support, and understanding in this difficult time. They request that memories of Mike be shared and celebrated with the joy and love he brought into our lives.
Mike Glass lived a life of service, love, and dedication. His ability to b ring joy and happiness into the lives of others is a testament to the man he was. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the lives he touched and in the love he shared with his family and all who knew him. His memory will forever be a reminder of a life well-lived.
