Patricia Bermingham LaSalle
Born in Scotland, Pat arrived in America during WWII. She married Jack Gilbert Colgan, then was widowed with three children. A career with the US Navy AEGIS Program lasted until 1988 when she retired to Georgia. Pat authored two books titled Run For Your Life and Taken By Terror. She leaves behind generations of family to include grandchildren Heather Patricia Routt, Heidi Colgan, Holly & Josh Dunahoo, Virginia Colgan-Rail, Katherine Coogan, Carolyn Coogan, Rebakah Folsom, Kyle Parker, and Joshua Parker. Great-grandchildren include Skyler, Layla, Sydney, Charla, Isabella, Kai, Elliott and Haven. Also longtime friend Tom Sharples. She quietly passed away shortly after midnight holding her son, John G. Colgan’s hand. Her daughter-in-law Kathleen E Colgan diligently cared for her every need and was her best friend. [?]
A celebration of her life will be at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home on McEver Rd. in Gainesville from Noon to 2pm. Followed by a gathering at the Colgan residence.
