With gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Taggart, who died peacefully on 21 January 2026 at the age of 73.
Patty was a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, dear friend, and a compassionate nurse who dedicated her life to caring for others. Her kindness, strength, and quiet grace touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether at home, at work, or in her community, she gave selflessly and loved deeply.
She will be remembered for her warm heart, sense of adventure, and unwavering commitment to help those in need. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she nurtured, healed, and inspired.
Patty is survived by her husband Stephen Barron, son and daughter-in-law Jimmie and Deidre Taggart of Cleveland, Georgia, daughter Sara McGhie of Alexandria, Virginia, sons Michael McGhie and Stephan Barron of Gainesville, Florida, daughter Amber Cleveland of Elberton, Georgia. Patty was deeply loved by her grandchildren Ashley Taggart, Xander and Zaiden Cleveland, Mikayla and Linnea Mann, and her newest great granddaughter Charlotte DeeAnne Royal.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved as she starts her next adventure.
