Paulette Humphries Obituary

Paulette Rose Humphries, age 74, of Cleveland, GA passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021.

She was born in Florida in 1946 to the late Ed and Rosie Cole. In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her husband, William Humphries, her brother, Ed “Tinker” Cole, and her son, Jamie McAlister. Paulette is survived by her children, Kimberly Gentry and Jeffrey McAlister, and her stepchildren, Donna Karrer, Debbie McAlister and Christopher Humphries. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Krista Cox, Christian Efferson, Jacob Efferson, Ashton McAlister, Shaela McAlister and Melissa Karrer, as well as three great-grandsons and five great-granddaughters, all of whom knew her as Mimi. Mimi loved her family dearly and doted on her great-grandchildren at every opportunity. She loved cooking for her grandbabies and listening to Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline. Even though she loved the beach, she could often be found on a porch swing in the country watching the trees. Her wishes were to be cremated and buried beside her late husband, William Humphries, near their former home in Greenville, SC. There will not be a funeral or memorial service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date by her grandchildren, Christian Efferson and Krista Cox.
