Robert Andrews, Jr

Robert Edge “Andy” Andrews Jr., age 68 of Gainesville, GA., born March 21, 1953 passed away Saturday December 18, 2021, at his home following a short illness. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert Edge ‘Bob’ Andrews, Sr. and Katherine Perryman Andrews of Gainesville and father and mother-in-law L.C. “Zeke” Farr and Annie Faye Farr of Gainesville, brother-in-law Chris Farr of Murrayville.

Andy is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Jan Andrews of Gainesville, brother Jones Perryman Andrews and wife Gigi of Gainesville and sister Clara Andrews Anderson and husband Ben of Columbus, GA. Other surviving relatives include brother sister in laws; Scott Lilly and wife Lynn of Demorest, Johnny Farr and wife Marykay of Braselton, Frankie Farr and wife Rita of Gainesville, Doris Farr of Murrayville (widow of Chris Farr) and many special nieces and nephews, as well as a special lifelong friend Guy Dunlap and special friend Noel Osorto and family.

Andy was a native resident of Gainesville and a member of First Methodist Church of Gainesville. Andy was a graduate of Gainesville High School in 1971. Andy had a love of cars and owned his own business (Andy’s Indians and Parts) for many years. Andy also had a particular love for Model A’s and was well known in the Model A community working for Mikes A Ford-able Parts in Maysville for several years before retiring, but

also enjoyed working on his own antique car collection, which included a Model A which was passed down to him from his father. Andy had a love of animals, especially his 4 Basset Hounds which he adored and enjoyed raising and spending time with.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday December 21, 2021, from 11:30am – 3pm at Hillside Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Hillside Chapel Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA.
