Robert E. Dawkins

Mr. Robert E. Dawkins, 76, of Gainesville died January 28, 2024. A native of Newberry, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Elliott V. and Mary (DeVore) Dawkins.

Robert proudly served with the South Carolina and Georgia Army National Guard. He was also employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation, working as a lab technician in the Gainesville location for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Dawkins Adams.

Survivors include son, John E. Dawkins, Gainesville and brother, Wilton Dennis.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11 am at Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry, South Carolina.
