Russell Lee Sneidman

Russell Lee Sneidman, a devoted husband, loving grandfather, cherished friend, and Christian, was called peacefully to his Heavenly home on August 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love and prayers of his devoted wife, Jeanne Sneidman, in their home in Gainesville, Georgia.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Russell was raised by his loving parents, Alan and Marcy Sneidman along with his sister Faith Crawley. Later in life, he made Las Vegas, Nevada his home, where he met the love of his life, Jeanne. Together, they shared countless adventures, exploring God’s creation through hiking and outdoor travels, always accompanied by their beloved pups, Briskie and Sierra.

Russell was a man of many God-given talents—an accomplished carpenter, electrician, and all-around master craftsman. His dedication, integrity, and willingness to serve made him a blessing to his family, friends, and community. Whether fixing a neighbor’s fence, building something beautiful with his hands, or offering guidance on outdoor survival, Russell’s life was marked by generosity, humility, and a servant’s heart.

He will forever be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the way he reflected Christ’s love to all who knew him. His adventurous soul and steadfast love for his family leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire.

Though our hearts grieve his absence, we rejoice in knowing that Russell now rests in the arms of his Savior, free from pain, and surrounded by eternal light. As 2 Timothy 4:7 reminds us, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Russell’s memory will live on in the hearts of his beloved wife Jeanne, his sister Faith Crawley, his family, and the many lives he touched. Until we meet again in Heaven, we hold fast to the promise that this is not goodbye, but a “see you later.”

Russell’s graveside service will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home, 1190 McEver Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
