Samuel Walter Lewis

Samuel Walter Lewis, age 88, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. He was born in 1937, to the late Walter and Beatrice Lewis. Samuel was a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church in Pendergrass, GA, where he served as a greeter for many years. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Randy Lewis, and brother, Jim Lewis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jerry Lewis; children, Tina A. Kiser, Jan Loggins, Rickey (Claudia) Baugh, and Timmy Baugh; grandchildren, Makayla Betts, Connor Kiser, Michelle Hulsey, Kevin Sullens, Cody (Tamara) Sullens, Tina Baugh, Patrick Baugh, Thomas Baugh, Eric Baugh and Ashley Baugh; great grandchildren, Gabriel Betts, Brittany (Kyle) Henson, Matt Hulsey, Evan Sullens, Grace Sullens, Cierra Segars, Hayden Sullens, Brooklyn Sullens, Madeline Hulsey, Noah Henson, Kyleigh Grier, Jenson Baugh, Peyton Baugh, Tyler Baugh, and Chance Baugh; sister, Barbara Estes; nieces, Susan (Ron) Rue, and Tammy (Johnny) Hubka; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Pond Fork Baptist Church in Pendergrass, GA, with Rev. Chris Hulsey and Rev. Johnny Knight officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service
