Troy Wayne Kaneer was born on June 13, 1964 to Kathryn and Roy Lee Kaneer, in Smithville, Missouri. He went to be with our Lord on July 14, 2024 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Kaneer and Kathryn Alberty, her husband Earl Henderson, and his brother, Tommy Kaneer. He is survived by his children Samantha Mantonya and husband, Zach, of Neosho, Missouri. Terra Kaneer, of Lubbock, Texas. Eric Kaneer of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Shane Kaneer of Granby, Missouri, his partner Brenda Potter and step-son Clay Potter of Gainesville, Georgia, his brothers Terry Kaneer and wife Reta, of Wichita Kansas, and Tony Kaneer and wife Jennifer of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, nine grandchildren, Silas, Winter, Keyghan, Brianna, Wyatt, Shiloh, Amily, Joseph, and Sophia. Along with so many others.
Dad has lived in many places but always called Missouri "Home." He recently earned an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies, and also had a degree in Nursing from Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri. He went to War Hill Church in Dawsonville, Georgia. He was a lover of God, family, sports, politics, rollercoasters and of course, the Kansas City Chiefs. He tried his best to teach like Jesus. He loved his family unconditionally. He published many poems on poetry.com and received a letter from President George W. Bush he was very proud of. Those that knew him knew he was going to look sharp, and he was going to smell good. We will miss him dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
