Willie C. Young

Mrs. Willie C. Young, 86, of Gainesville died October 12, 2020. A native of Gainesville, Mrs. Young was the daughter of the late William Clinton and Willie Jo (Hill) Gable. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Young; sisters, Lou Elliott and Patsey Savage; brothers, Wallace Gable, Ralph Gable, Johnny Gable, Jimmy Gable and Bobby Gable; son in law, Randall Jones. She is survived by her children, Jo Ann Jones, Kathy (Wayne) Majors, Phillip Young, Kenneth (Trish) Gearin, Vell (Debbie) Young; 15 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Haynes, Martha Tow, Ida Tanner and Hazel Raben. Funeral services will be held Friday October 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hillside Chapel Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Tanner and Rev. Kyle Savage will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
