Zachary Alan Thompson

Zachary Alan Thompson unexpectedly passed on May 10, 2024. He was born on May 31, 1997, in Jacksonville, FL to Woodrow (Eddie) and Linda Thompson. At the age of 1 he moved to Panama City, FL.

He attended Jenks Middle School and Bay High. Zach became involved in band in 6th grade and continued until his high school graduation in 2016. He made many band friends and continued those friendships after he left for college. As a member of the Bay High Million Dollar Band, he performed during the Orange Bowl and marched in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day parade. He was proud to be a band geek and the tuba section leader his senior year. After high school, he attended Piedmont College and graduated in 2020 with a BS in Biology with a Chemistry minor. He was currently attending grad school.

Zach is survived by his parents, Eddie and Linda Thompson of Gainesville, GA and his brother, Tyler Dilmore of Tallahassee, FL.

Visitation will be at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home.  It will be followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Bay High Million Dollar Band at Bay High School, 1200 Harrison Ave, Panama City, FL 32401.
